Let’s face it: teenagers are hard to please. But even though they claim to know everything, they don’t know Richfield, Utah. Yet. Here’s a 3-day itinerary to temporarily turn them from screen-agers to serene-agers.
Day 1: Mountain Biking at Spinal Tap

Morning: Start your day by heading to the world-class mountain biking trails at the Pahvant Trail System, including the popular Spinal Tap for your more adventurous teens. These trails are lit (as the teens might say) and offer a variety of difficulty levels, from beginner to expert.
Afternoon: After a morning of mountain biking and lunch, head up to Fish Lake to wash off the dirt while kayaking or paddleboarding. Don’t worry, it’s a 45-minute drive so everyone will have waiting the mythical required hour after eating before getting in the water.
Evening: Return to Richfield and enjoy a delicious dinner at a local brewery – great food for everyone, and adult beverages for those who qualify to partake. Afterward, let the competition heat up over a mini-golf match in Monroe.
Day 2: Whitewater Rafting and ATV Riding

Morning: Embark on a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure down the Sevier River. Teens will love the experience as well as the fun guides! The rapids are rowdy enough to keep everyone in the raft, unless you feel like one of your teens needs to have a timeout in the river.
Afternoon: After your rafting adventure, head out on an ATV adventure through the stunning desert landscapes. There are plenty of places to rent machines, and plenty of places to take them. The rugged terrain and breathtaking scenery are Instagram (or whatever the teens use nowadays) worthy.
Evening: Hit up a steakhouse, go to a movie, or relax in nature’s hot tub at Mystic Hot Springs.
Day 3: Explore the Local Culture and History, Shop, and Play

Morning: Take a scenic drive through the nearby mountains, stopping at overlooks to admire the breathtaking views.
Afternoon: Grab a burger and shakes for lunch then split up: some could go shopping while others hit up the bike pump track or hit the links for some golf.
Evening: Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a movie night at a local theater or a game night at your accommodation.
Need a place to rest your weary family in Richfield?
For the Classic Road Trip: Consider a classic hotel. These places offer all the essentials: comfy beds, free breakfast (perfect for a quick bite before hitting the road), and maybe even a pool to cool off.
For the Adventurous Family: Campgrounds and RV Parks a great way to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. Plus, there’s often Wi-Fi, so your teens can still stay connected (though maybe not too connected).
