Richfield, Utah, is a haven for ATV and UTV enthusiasts, offering a vast network of trails that cater to riders of all skill levels. The most prominent trail system in the area is the Paiute ATV Trail.
This famous trail is a 1000 mile trail system over three mountain ranges. Much of the trail is located in the beautiful Fishlake National Forest or on lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management. The trail includes elevations from 5,100 to 11,000 feet and as well as novice to advanced terrain.
The trail accesses numerous towns throughout the area, all of which have designated OHV friendly streets. These streets allow riders to grab a bite to eat, gas up, or head back to their hotel or RV afar a ride without having to trailer up.
Gooseberry Trail:
The Gooseberry Trail system is located just east of Salina in mountain that hundreds of deer and elk call home. The 250 miles that make up the Gooseberry system offer riders some of the best scenery in central Utah.
For those who enjoy wetting a hook, the Gooseberry offers a number of small lakes that hold trout. If the fishing on one lake cools off, just take your ATV or UTV to the next.
Disperse camping sites for RVs or tents are plentiful while those who want to hook up to water and use a fire ring can stay in the Forest Service run campground. Gooseberry Trail access either from Salina on the north end of the county or just off of exit 63 along Interstate 70.
